- [How Click & Collect works](https://www.haute-cakes.co.za/how-it-works): same-day collection from what's on display, or Pre-Order for a chosen future date (each Pre-Order item shows its own lead time; cakes sold by the slice are pre-ordered whole)
- Delivery: orders placed directly on the website or app can be delivered by courier, powered by Uber Direct, within 9.5 km of the shop; the fee is calculated from the address and shown before payment
- HAUTE is also on Uber Eats with a limited menu and a marketplace fee; ordering directly on the website or app is recommended. HAUTE is not on Mr D.

## Policies

- Desserts are perishable: confirmed, paid orders are final and there are no refunds or exchanges for a change of mind or a missed collection. Wrong or damaged items are reviewed case by case.
- Orders are held until closing time on the chosen collection date.
- HAUTE does not make custom, themed or personalised cakes; every cake in the standard range can be ordered for a celebration.
- HAUTE is not Halal certified. It uses Halal-friendly ingredients, including Halal gelatin, and products made with Halal-friendly ingredients are marked "Halal-Friendly Ingredients" on their product page (and below).
- Allergens vary by product; HAUTE cannot guarantee any product is allergen-free.
