A Quiet Gentleman: Cassper Nyovest Visits HAUTE

It's not every day a global hip-hop icon walks into a small patisserie in Lone Hill for dessert — but that's exactly what happened when Cassper Nyovest stopped by HAUTE Boutique Patisserie, and left the whole team a little star-struck.

On stage, Cassper is a towering, larger-than-life presence. In person, HAUTE's founder found something else entirely — the most humble, gentle and kind human being. A quiet gentleman. It's the kind of description that's easy to say about someone and rare to actually mean — by all accounts, this one was earned.

"I went hiking today at Cradle of Humankind. I got to touch grass. I really don't like going out, I prefer staying at home but I enjoyed it."

Doc Shebeleza has long been one of HAUTE founder's personal favourite tracks, so meeting the man behind it, in the store she built, was its own quiet, full-circle moment.
